Joseph Emir arrived in France at the beginning
of the 20th century. He was coming from Persia, and wished to
introduce the rugs from Ispahan, Kum, Heriz, or Shirvan. He opens
Emir in Lyon, 7 Rue de la Republique. This location still exists.
Later, his three sons managed the company, and started to build
its reputation in all the world. Very soon, thanks to their knowledge,
Emir family became a landmark in the oriental rugs market. Emir
was a synonym of authenticity and beauty
In 1960, Andre Emir decides to open a gallery
in Cannes, 52 Rue d'Antibes. He travels all over the world to
find the best rugs, and his clients come to him from different
countries. They trust him, because he offers an excellent quality
and a large choice.
Eric Emir, his nephew, helps him now. It
is him who will come to your home to show you the rugs you will
have selected in the gallery.
The EMIR COLLECTION represents thousands of rugs from different
origins, and with a large range of colors and styles. You have
to know that Emir still has very deep links and even some relatives
in the different regions where the rugs are made.
Obviously every rug is sold with a certificate
of authenticity.
We sell rugs all over the world, and we
visit the US several times a year
