Rugs made in Malayer are very similar to those coming from Feraghan. The 2 cities are very close from each other.. They are very elagant rugs. They were very popular in England especially during Victorian period. That particular piece is small. The differences of color between the right and left parts, are usually calles ABRACH, (meaning: differences between 2 dyeing baths) When the rugs were woven by nomad tribes, these differences were very usual, since the rugs were made in different places. |
